Description

Ponte Ruga Bella o del Forner is one of the bridges crossing the San Zan Degolà Canal, in the Santa Croce district in Venice. This bridge connects two wonderful venetian “campi” (squares), Campo San Giacomo dell’Orio and Campo Nazario Sauro.

The name of the “rio” (canal) is San Zan Degolà: in venetian, it is the name of St. John the Baptist (San Zan=St. John; degolà=beheaded).

This is the view of the bridge as you see it from the facing bridge Ponte Ruga Vecchia (if you want, I’ve talked about this bridge here https://www.plumplumcreations.com/2015/02/arianna-crime-scene/)

Technique used: thin black felt pen drawing colored with watercolors.

Paper size: A4 (11.7 x 8.2 inches)
Image size: 4.7 x 6.9 inches
